TERMS OF SERVICE 9-Week VFX Compositing Bootcamp

These Terms of Service ("Agreement") govern your participation in the 9-Week VFX Compositing Bootcamp ("Bootcamp"), provided by 9480-8896 Quebec Inc (Compositing Academy) ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By enrolling in the Bootcamp, you agree to abide by these terms.
No Guarantees or Warranties
The Bootcamp is designed to provide mentorship, training, and assignments based on your assigned skill level. However, we do not guarantee any specific outcomes, job placements, skill improvements, or financial results from participation in the Bootcamp.
Your success depends entirely on your own effort and commitment.Assignment of Work & Responsibilities
We will assign shots and projects on a structured schedule based on the skill level you have been assigned.
It is your sole responsibility to complete the assigned work. If you do not complete the work within the given timeframe, that is your responsibility and not the fault of the Company or its instructors.
The mentorship and provided materials are there to assist you, but the completion of assignments is entirely up to you.What We Provide
Mentorship and guidance from experienced instructors.
Recordings of live classes and course materials, available for six (6) months after the Bootcamp ends.
Structured assignments based on your skill level.
No Refund Policy, Payment Requirements & Payment Plans
All payments are final and non-refundable.
By making a payment, you acknowledge that you are securing one of a limited number of spots in the Bootcamp, thereby preventing another interested individual from accessing this limited-space program.Payment Options:
Single Payment: You may choose to pay the full Bootcamp fee in one installment at the time of enrollment.
Two-Payment or Three-Payment Plans: If you choose an installment plan, each payment is subject to the following schedule:
Invoice Schedule: The first installment is due upon enrollment. For each subsequent installment, an invoice will be issued 30 days after the previous payment is received.
Payment Deadline: Once you receive a payment reminder, you have 4 days to complete the payment.
Consequences of Late Payment: Failure to pay within the designated 4-day period may result in a pause in your Bootcamp assignments, mentorship assistance, and access to course materials until the outstanding balance is settled.
Once full payment is received, your spot is reserved, and no refunds will be issued under any circumstances—including, but not limited to, failure to complete assignments, personal circumstances, or changes in your schedule.
If your account remains unpaid, your access to assignments, mentorship, and course materials will be suspended until the balance is paid in full.Limitation of Liability
The Company shall not be held liable for any losses, damages, or claims arising from your participation in the Bootcamp, including but not limited to technical issues, delays, or failure to achieve desired results.
You acknowledge that the Bootcamp is an educational program and that your results depend on your personal effort, time commitment, and skill development.
We are not responsible for any issues arising from third-party software, hardware, or internet connectivity required to complete the Bootcamp assignments.Intellectual Property & Course Materials
All materials, including class recordings, shot assignments, and mentorship content, remain the property of 9480-8896 Quebec Inc (Compositing Academy) and are for your personal educational use only.
You may use course materials in your personal demo reel—defined as a short video compilation showcasing your work for the purpose of applying for jobs or demonstrating skills.
You may not use course materials for other training programs, YouTube tutorials, online classes, or any other form of distribution.
You may not distribute, share, sell, or reproduce any of the provided materials without prior written permission.Participant Acknowledgment & Effort Clause
The participant understands that success in the Bootcamp requires active participation and consistent effort.
The Company is not responsible for a participant’s lack of progress due to failure to engage, submit work on time, or seek assistance when needed.Technical & Software Requirements
Participants are responsible for having the necessary hardware, software, and internet connection to complete the Bootcamp. This includes 2TB of Memory Storage, and meeting base PC requirements for Nuke as listed on the Foundry’s Website.
The Company is not responsible for any technical issues a participant encounters, including but not limited to software incompatibility, file corruption, or inability to access online materials.Force Majeure Clause (Unforeseen Events)
The Company is not responsible for delays, rescheduling, or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, internet failures, or instructor unavailability.
In such cases, the Company will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected sessions but does not guarantee full compensation.Bootcamp Access & Time Limits
The participant will have access to class recordings and materials only for the duration of the Bootcamp and for six (6) months after it ends.
The Company is not obligated to provide lifetime access to any content.Non-Compete & Program Integrity
Participants may not use the CG assets, stock footage, filmed plates, or any other materials from the Bootcamp to create a competing course, mentorship program, or paid training service.
Any attempt to reverse-engineer or repurpose the program for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada.
Participants agree to resolve disputes through mediation or arbitration before pursuing legal action.Code of Conduct
Participants must be respectful to instructors and fellow participants.
Participants must not engage in plagiarism, submit AI-generated work as their own, or misrepresent their contributions to assignments. Doing so can result in being removed from the program without refund.
Any form of disrespect, harassment, or inappropriate behavior toward instructors or fellow participants may result in immediate removal without refund.Cancellation & Expulsion Clause
The Company reserves the right to remove any participant who violates these terms, including failure to make payments, misconduct, or breach of intellectual property terms.
Expelled participants will not receive refunds or continued access to materials.Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in the Bootcamp and making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
